Virtual Private Network (VPN)

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a technology that allows users to create a secure and encrypted connection over a public network, typically the internet. VPNs are used to establish a private and secure communication channel between a user and a remote server or network, enabling users to transmit data as if their device were directly connected to the private network, even while operating over a public network.

VPNs are commonly used for various purposes, such as enhancing online privacy and security, accessing restricted websites or content, and enabling secure remote access to corporate networks. They can also help protect sensitive information from interception and unauthorized access, especially when accessing the internet from public Wi-Fi networks.

By encrypting data and masking the user's IP address, VPNs create a secure tunnel for transmitting and receiving data, making it difficult for unauthorized parties to intercept or decipher the information. VPNs play a crucial role in modern cybersecurity and are widely used by businesses, remote workers, and individuals seeking to secure their online activities and maintain privacy.
